DEANNA + ANDREW
JUNE 3, 2017 . MONTAUK, NEW YORK
OUR STORY
WE ARE GETTING MARRIED (:
Deanna and Andrew met at her cousin and his close friend Chris's wedding to Natalie. Andrew first noticed Deanna as soon as she arrived at the church, and helped her when her dress caught on her shoe walking up the steps. They didn't officially meet until the after party...for the rest of the story, you'll need to find the Mother of the Bride, Denise.
Soon after, Andrew and Deanna went on their first date. They liked each other enough to brave the trips between the Upper East Side and south Brooklyn. That summer, Deanna took Andrew to Montauk for the first time. In February 2016, Andrew asked Deanna to marry him outside the restaurant where they had their first date.
XOXO

TRANSPORTATION
BY PLANE
For those traveling by plane. we recommend flying into John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) or LaGuardia Airport (LGA). Another option is to fly into Islip/MacArthur Airport (ISP), a small Long Island airport that offers limited flights, including Southwest airlines.
From these airports, you have the option to rent a car, connect to the Long Island Railroad (LIRR), or ride the Hampton Jitney bus directly to East Hampton or Montauk.
BY TRAIN
You can take the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) Montauk Line from Penn Station. For schedule and pricing, go to the LIRR website. The train can be crowded on summer Friday afternoons and evenings. The special Friday afternoon Cannonball Express departs Penn Station at 4:06 pm on Summer Friday afternoons and gets you to Montauk at approx 6:48pm. Reserving a seat (hamptonreserve@lirr.org) costs $51.25. Here is the updated 2017 info for the Cannonball/Hamptons Reserve: http://tinyurl.com/hamptonsreserve
Depending if your train is a local or an express, you can choose to disembark at East Hampton, Amagansett, or Montauk. There are often taxis waiting at the station; please be aware that they can be expensive even for a short distance.
Travel time to East Hampton is about 2hr 45min, to Montauk it is about 3hr 10min.
BY BUS
Hampton Jitney is a popular luxury motor coach service that picks up in various locations throughout Manhattan and stops in most towns in The Hamptons along Montauk Highway including East Hampton, Amagansett, and Montauk. Guests should take the Montauk Eastbound Line. The Napeague stop is across the street from Goldberg's Bagels, which is a quick walk to Ocean Vista.
Travel time is about 3hr 30min, depending on traffic.
BY CAR
For turn-by-turn directions from your starting point to The Hamptons, we suggest Google Maps directions: https://goo.gl/maps/QVvjMEZEhNH2
Please be aware that traffic heading to the Hamptons is heavy on summer Friday evenings and Saturday mornings. Please factor additional time for traffic in your travel plans if you plan on driving out east.
Uber is banned in the town of East Hampton, which includes Montauk. Shuttles will be provided to and from the reception.

OUR WEDDING PARTY

Patrice Wylly
Matron of Honor. D's best friend since high school. Made her change outfits before first date w/ Andrew, pretty much saving the entire evening. Game night enthusiast. Kicks major butt at one of NYC's top law firms; is basically super woman. Beautiful, poetic land mermaid that we adore.

Kerri Yarnell
Matron of Honor. D's best friend since high school, part two. Coined the world's best nickname, Andy Bear. Now lives a life of domestic bliss in Vermont with her hubby and two dogs, collecting sap and pickling things. Brilliant, hysterical unicorn nurse beloved by all, especially us.

Marissa Anto
Bridesmaid. One of D's closest friends since high school. Has impeccable taste and knows all the best places, duh. First-year pediatric neurology resident at Mount Sinai and aunt to world's cutest baby, Charlie Anto. Her brain is as perfect as her face - we adore both.

Natalie Carfora
Bridesmaid. Dear friend of D. Will be wearing the highest heels of the evening, guaranteed. Currently killing it in medical sales, but should really start "Bodies by Natalie" because the woman's abs are ridiculous. Makes a delicious pitcher of Summer Solstices. Stunning chestnut-haired sunfish whom we love so much.

Steph Davis
Bridesmaid. Close friend of D through Andrew, her neighbor at Villanova. Survived the flood and general disaster that was our first "trip" as a couple, the now infamous Fourth of July weekend in Hampton Bays. Only friend to truly share D's talent and passion for fantasy football. Gorgeous, thoughtful tropical fish we both love.

Alexis Donley
Bridesmaid. Close friend of D, met while both working at Starbucks. Fellow Long Islander and Incubus fan. Amazing artist, aethstician, and all-around lady. Throws the best theme parties ever, hands down, no question. Beautiful, rule-breaking moth we will travel to Brooklyn for any day.

Caitlin Rogan
Bridesmaid. Soulmate college roommate of D. Hermano. Fellow bleeding heart who works hard to make good things happen every day. Shares D's love for Parks & Rec and is the only person likely to get the last sentence of each of these descriptions. Real-life Leslie Knope whom we are lucky to know and love.

Julia Sessions
Bridesmaid. Sister of D. Mom to our ring bearer, Damien. Loves the beach as much as D and consistently has a better tan. Sweet and beautiful sunflower, we love you.
Our Little Ones

Christopher
Flower girl escort. Andrew's cousin, and cousin to Marlena and Vivi. Expert at running and jumping on the trampoline and loves amusement park rides - the bigger the better. Might be wearing his policeman or fireman uniform down the aisle.

Damien
Ring bearer. D's nephew. Destroyer of sand-castles. Will run the table if you play him in Star Wars match game. Already better at all sports than D. Loves naming things that start with the letter "B." Everyone's sunshine and joy, we love him the most.

Marlena
Flower girl. Andrew's cousin. Big sister to Vivi. Loves art projects, Legos, and chasing the family dog Bentley. Very busy around the holidays cooking with mommy and welcoming everyone to her home- a super hostess!

Viviana
Flower girl. Andrew's cousin. Cutest cheeks ever. Loves singing, dancing and twirling. Always interested in another bowl of macaroni and cheese. Gives the best hugs!

John Colucci
Best Man. Andrew's cousin. Grew up two blocks from each other and spent nearly every day after school together. Bonded over sports, alien movies, water gun fights, bug collecting, and video games, just to name a few things. American muscle car enthusiast and builder of fine wood furniture. Instant cousin to all he meets, a useful skill in his career as a financial adviser.

Eugene Colucci
Best Man. Andrew's cousin and John's younger brother. Fordham Rams super fan and owner of every free t-shirt available on campus. Ice cream aficionado. Look for his excellent shuffling dance moves at the reception. Analyst for a financial services firm. Aspires to live like a Kennedy in a family compound.

Frank Apollo
Groomsman. Andrew's oldest friend from kindergarten, where they were often found hunting dinosaur bones on the playground. Excellent cook and likely future Jeopardy contestant. Consumer products scientist and chemist for his start up craft brewery. Sad that we will not be at Dorian’s the night before the wedding.

Chris Carfora
Groomsman. Andrew's friend since second grade and little league teammate, and Deanna's cousin. Played no role in their meeting. Deviser of schemes since elementary school recess Star Wars battles, now uses those skills as an attorney and to take over various fantasy sports leagues.

Jared Foley
Groomsman. Andrew's friend from Villanova. Excels at old school manly tasks, such as motorcycle riding, hunting and budgeting. Terrible at modern manly tasks, such as fantasy football. Provider of wise life advice and support. Successful medical device salesman.

Ryan Fuld
Groomsman. Andrew's friend from Villanova. Always willing to try new experiences, particularly if he has to drive four hours to get to them. Super-secret government nuclear engineer and aspiring musician, although he doesn’t acknowledge any music after the Traveling Wilburys last album in 1990 (had to look that up).

Greg Leighton
Groomsman. Andrew's friend since middle school. Loves blackjack (pictured). Loves entertainment and limited release snacks from the 90's, and scotch (also preferable from the 90's). Pharmacist who rules his department with an iron fist. Correctly guessed the tightly guarded secret of the engagement month.

Anthony Massaro
Groomsman. Andrew's friend since middle school. Sophisticated NYC gentleman, master of the universe at a large NY hedge fund. Designated wine selector at all group dinners, unable to hang a picture frame. Perceptively identified A+D as soul-mates at his NYE party, with a little help from champagne.

Phil Quinn
Groomsman. Andrew's friend from Villanova. Genuine friend to all… especially ladies back in his college days. Teacher, budding property manager and skilled house renovator. Founder of the annual Nova Ocean City Maryland vacation. Andrew’s attempted motorcycle instructor.

Dan Reino
Groomsman. Andrew's friend since middle school. Fellow suffering Giants fan. Film connoisseur, especially of the action and superhero variety. Data analyst at real estate company. Always good for a strong zinger on the group text and for closing Mickey’s on Thanksgiving Eve.

Charlie Sessions
Groomsman. Deanna’s younger brother. Somehow likes winter more than summer in the beach loving Sessions family. Loves (and is very good at) extreme sports, like skateboarding and snowboarding. Says he is ”anxious excited” for the upcoming bachelor party.

Casey St. Fleur
Groomsman. Andrew's friend from Villanova. Shares Andrew's love of almost all sporting events, despite their different rooting interests (besides Nova basketball of course). Has shared more couples Halloween costumes with Andrew than would be expected. Entering the working world after earning his engineering PhD.

MONTAUK THINGS TO DO
We absolutely love Montauk and are so excited to share it with all of our friends and family! There is so much to do and so much to eat, so here is curated list of all our favorites!
Eating + Drinking
-
Lunch Lobster Roll is a Hamptons institution on Montauk Highway. On your way in or out of town, stop in for our standard order: split an appetizer of Puffers, followed by a Cold Classic Lobster Roll with fries. A Blood Orange Margarita doesn't hurt either.
-
Clam Bar @ Napeague is a great spot for casual, fresh seafood, also on Montauk Highway (within walking distance of Ocean Vista). Look for the bright yellow umbrellas. Cash only.
-
Gosman's Dock is another Montauk institution. It's a great place for families to walk around and has lots of places to eat and shop. Our advice: skip eating in the restaurant and visit the open air Clam Bar instead, which has great chowder, fried clams, and ice cream. If you really want to do it right, have a glass of rosé or two at Topside first, which has gorgeous views of Montauk Harbor.
-
The Montauket is THE SPOT for sunsets over Fort Pond (this picture was taken there, by a kooky local who took this picture of the sunset when we asked her to take a picture of the two of us!) It often has live music and a fun crowd. The food is also reasonably priced for Montauk - it's a great spot to indulge in a whole lobster.
-
Goldberg's is the best place for a bagel before the beach. Order Andrew's favorite breakfast sandwich of all time - the Spicy Hobo. There's always a line but it's fun to people watch and you may even see a celeb (Leo goes there!)
-
If you're in town for breakfast, John's Pancake House is the place to go. There's a cute candy shop next store, and the pancakes are really delicious.
-
John's Drive-In is must-go for homemade ice cream. They also have good burgers, if you're sick of seafood.
-
On Fridays, we usually head to 668 The Gig Shack for a few beers and people-watching. It's a good scene with a solid mix of all the different types in Montauk - locals, surfers, the cool crowd from the city...
-
Then late night we see what's happening at the Sloppy Tuna. Not as sloppy as it once was, but still a good time. The best time to go is Saturday afternoon when everyone is leaving the beach, so maybe sneak in a beer between the ceremony and reception?
-
Montauk Brewing Co. is a local brewery that makes great craft beers. One of the founders went to Villanova! They have a cute taproom with picnic tables where you can enjoy a flight or pint. Open 12-8pm.
EVEN MORE MONTAUK
Beaching + Everything Else!
-
If you are staying at the Ocean Vista, just walk down the boardwalk to the beautiful, private ocean beach. Please be aware that there are no lifeguards.
-
If you are staying in town, you may have beach access through your hotel. Town ocean beaches that are open to the public include Ditch Plains (surfing beach), Kirk Park, and South Edison. Gin Beach is a popular family beach on Block Island Sound.
-
The Montauk Point Lighthouse is a National Historic Landmark and the largest lighthouse on Long Island. Visit for incredible views of Block Island Sound, the Atlantic Ocean and the dune cliffs, whether you make it to the top of the lighthouse or not!
-
If you'd like to hit the green, Montauk Downs State Park Golf course is one the nation's top municipal courses, rated the second-best "hidden gem" in the country. It's also where we are having our reception! To make a reservation, call (631) 668-1234.
-
Wölffer Estate Vineyard is one of the South Fork's best vineyards, and home to Deanna's favorite rosé. Pronounce it with a German "W" like we do.
-
Check out Uihlein's for boat and jetski rentals, as well as other watersports like water skiing, wake boarding, and tubing. We can attest the jetskiing is really fun!
